Her Cherch Merch That Makes You Happy!

Let’s celebrate being a woman who loves God!

I’ve been following the Her Cherch account on Instagram for a while, and she has awesome cartoons that cut to the heart of so much of what we talk about here on Bare Marriage!

The artist is Marcia Takasaki, and we’ve been chatting behind the scenes for a while (she’s also one of our patreon supporters!)

Rebecca and I loved her stuff so much we asked if we could take four of her designs and turn them into merch! And that’s exactly what we did!

We’ve got t-shirts, tote bags, stickers, magnets, canvas wall hangings, mugs and more!

And they make excellent stocking stuffers!

Let me tell you about each of the designs:

The Esther 1:12 woman

Remember the Proverbs 31 woman that we hear so much about? Well, I want to be an Esther 1:12 woman too!

Esther 1:12 Woman HerCherch

Esther 1:12 says this:

But when the attendants delivered the king’s command, Queen Vashti refused to come…

Esher 1:12

Do you remember the story? King Xerxes was throwing this huge party, and had all these nobles as guests, and they had been drinking for days. They were seriously drunk. And the king demanded that his wife, Queen Vashti, come and dance before all the nobles. It’s insinuated in the original Hebrew that she was to wear “only” her crown.

And she said no!

So the Esther 1:12 woman is all about drawing clear boundaries about your dignity and your worth.

And it will get people talking!

We’ve got it in hoodies, stickers, t-shirts, notebooks, mugs, and more!

Women Preaching

Her Cherch also drew an amazing cartoon that celebrates women preachers–of all stripes!

Having this around the house will normalize for your kids that women can preach and teach too!

And you can celebrate the women in your life that speak and preach by giving this to them at Christmas!

We’ve got a lovely wall hanging for this, a notebook, stickers, and more!

Drawing Boundaries

In yesterday’s podcast about the issues with Jimmy Evans’ book Marriage on the Rock, I noted that he never told women it was okay to draw boundaries. In fact, he said it was never okay to say no to sex. Instead, he said that if you want to fix your marriage, you need to pray that God will change you.

But boundaries are biblical! And if you need to be reminded of that, this is a great choice!

We’ve got it in mugs, stickers, notebooks and tote bags!

Purity Culture Survivor Support Group

Sometimes you have to laugh or else you’ll cry!

Here’s a purity culture support group, made up of all the tropes that women were told they would be–a rose without petals; a chewed up piece of gum; a candy bar wrapper; a half eaten apple.

Check out the journal for all your deconstruction musings, or notes as you read She Deserves Better! Or the mug or wall hanging! (The wall hanging would be great for a female youth pastor, too, and it would lead to great convos with the teens!)

I’m so happy to showcase Her Cherch’s amazing work!

And I’d love to add more of her designs in the future, so support us now if you’d like to see this happen! It’s a great way to support an artist in our very own community–plus get fun merch and gifts that will be amazing conversation starters.

And follow Her Cherch on Instagram and Facebook too! She has a great series taking down Every Man’s Battle tropes as well.

See our other biblical womanhood designs too! (and more)

And, of course, we have our four lines of merch that are always there–our biblical womanhood and biblical manhood; our Prayer and Tent Pegs; and our “They Call Me Jezebel”.

Buying our merch is a great way to support what Bare Marriage does!

Our merch pays for some of our staff, so will you consider getting some of our mugs or tshirts or notebooks or stickers for Christmas gifts? You need to order soon to ensure delivery by Christmas (and I’m sorry fellow Canadians–with the Canada Post strike it may be difficult to get right now! But everyone else should be fine.)

And, of course, don’t forget our Hazardous Materials stickers! Get a bunch for your bookshelf, or give some to your pastor or counselor who you know sees a lot of these books the same way you do!

Thank you for supporting Bare Marriage this Christmas!

And if you have other designs you’d like to see us make, let us know in the comments! Even if you have another favourite Her Cherch design!

Thanks for your support!
